Thanks to a comprehensive and flexible managed security service, Axians Switzerland was once again able to hold its own against the competition in Switzerland

Schlieren, 06.09.22 – Axians Switzerland is establishing its cyber security provision and expertise, and has successfully maintained its leading position in the ISG (Information Services Group) “Cyber Security – Solutions and Services 2022” benchmark again this year. In the Managed Security Services (MSS) category, Axians Switzerland has been able to establish itself as a “Leader”, as it had done in the previous year. In Germany, Axians was again ranked as a “Leader” in three service provider categories. This year’s ISG Report once again confirms that Axians has holistic cyber security expertise and can provide optimal and full support to companies of all sizes and needs.

Leader in the field of Managed Security Services (MSS)

Managed Security Services (MSS) are customised service packages that enable companies to protect their IT and OT infrastructures against cyber attacks without having to set up their own organisation. With the recently launched IT/OT Security Operations Centre (SOC) in Arlesheim, Axians was able to expand its range of services to include the Managed Security Service SOC, thus significantly increasing its presence, availability and operational capability for Swiss customers. Axians thus acts not only as a pure service provider, focussing exclusively on proprietary products, but also through its ability to manage and operate so-called “best-of-breed security tools”. Axians further excels in covering the entire security incident lifecycle, from identification to ultimate resolution.

To be classified by ISG as a “Leader”, companies must possess both an attractive product and service offering and a strong, competitive market position. According to ISG, these companies are strategic pacesetters and their opinions are well respected in the market, as well as guarantors of innovative strength and stability. Axians Switzerland’s top ranking results from an extensive range of products and services from which its clientele can choose: As part of its Managed Security Services, Axians offers a wide range of services and managed cyber security topics. Axians offers customer-oriented services, which are highly attractive for medium-sized companies, especially due to their modularity, as they usually do not require complete packages in the area of MSS. Even across national borders, Axians Germany has been able to establish itself in the top position in no less than three categories. Valuable improvements have been achieved in the Technical, Strategic and Managed Security Service areas, which were rewarded with corresponding top rankings.

Frank Heuer, Principal Analyst & Lead Analyst Cyber Security DACH, Information Services Group Germany Ltd., explains the assessment: “Axians has been one of the clear leaders and pacesetters of managed security services in the respective markets in Switzerland and Germany for longer than just this year. The company is able to do this in part because of the SOC’s state-of-the-art cyber security infrastructures and the well-balanced use of synergies together with Actemium.”

Urs Röthlisberger, CEO Axians & Actemium Switzerland: “Our new IT/OT SOC near Basel has been integrated very successfully into the global cyber security network of VINCI Energies and its brands Axians and Actemium. With the help of this international expertise and collaboration, we have developed new managed security services and secured the trust of our customers. This is also demonstrated by the continuous growth in our Cyber Security portfolio.”

Güven Zorba, Head of Business Area IT & Managed Services at Axians in Switzerland adds: “We are very pleased about the renewed confirmation of our top ranking in the ISG Benchmark for 2022. This shows us that we are on the right track. To ensure long-term and effective protection, we will not make any compromises. That’s why our Managed Security Services are extremely carefully adapted to the needs of our customers and permanently supplemented with the latest knowledge, experience and technologies.”
