Garage Schmid was founded in 1976 as a one-man business and now employs over 30 people and is considered one of the most important Mitsubishi and Honda representatives in the Basel area. Competition is particularly harsh in the automotive industry. Unforeseeable economic and political influences such as major exchange rate fluctuations and increasing competition from just over the border have a considerable impact on business success. Family-owned Garage Schmid AG and AVB AG are meeting these challenges by increasing their flexibility and efficiency, among other measures. Parts of the previous local IT infrastructure were many years old, and the system was no longer able to meet the current requirements. With their internal IT specialist about to leave the company, a thorough revision of their IT concept was particularly urgent.

Mobility and transport are essential requirements of the highest priority – for private individuals and businesses alike.
